About Aegean Compass
Aegean Compass is a single-purpose toolbox for Greece travel. Every page is a calculator or a decision tool — not a travelogue, not a "top 10" list, not an aggregator that pretends to be original.
What this site is for
- Travellers researching a Greek island trip who want specific numbers, not adjectives.
- Repeat visitors to Greece who want fresh utility (e.g. Acropolis combo math after the 2024 changes) rather than generic "things to do in Athens" copy.
- Independent travellers planning ferry chains, self-drives, or off-season trips where the published prices don't match reality.
Who built it and why
The site was assembled by a traveller who has spent cumulative months in Greece across multiple years and who got tired of "10 things to do in Mykonos" articles that were written for AdSense, not for travellers. Each tool was built because a real trip-planning question couldn't be answered by a single number on the web.
Limitations (be honest about them)
- Prices use 2025–2026 reference data. Greek ferry fares move seasonally and operators change fuel surcharges monthly.
- Crowd forecasts for the Acropolis use published Ministry of Culture monthly aggregates, not real-time sensors.
- Strike-probability figures are historical rates per month — they describe past pattern, they are not a prediction.
- We are not a tour operator. None of these tools book anything. Always confirm on the operator's own site.
